To no will of their own, the identities of the co-creators of the popular Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection have been revealed. The doxxed Florida men are behind one of the most coveted and celebrity-endorsed NFT kits in recent memory, with Justin Bieber spending nearly US$1.8 million on two Bored Ape NFTs in the span of a week.

For a moment I thought this was a notebook news site. Apparently everyone and their dogs are working hard to get you to consider these scams.

To the posted comment about how someone is trying hard to promote NFTS.  Yes someone is.  Having taken public relations in college, many, many, many stories across all media outlets you read are placements (news releases).  The goal would be number of impressions (views, clicks, shares, etc.) There are very few actual hard journalism or independent news stories.  This is how these outlets get their content.  PR content is almost always written like news so it reads authentically as possible and as if a reporter wrote it.  And guess who writes these releases?  Industry insiders do.  So likely one of the NFT exchanges, like OpenSea wrote this.  Most times the receiving news site will drop the name of that insider, tweak it, and put one of their own names on the by line.  That also means about 80% of all content is never independently verified.  Additionally this is why you can go from news outlet to outlet and almost read word for word the same story.
