Leaked marketing material for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series has now confirmed regional availability for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200. Rumors claiming widespread Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 adoption look to have been off the mark, sadly.

I know right. Why don't they use the snapdragon in Australia. If it's good enough for there country should be for us to. And wehave have snapdragon phones in Australia so they work here.

Well, there have to be some serious upgrades to the exynos version to even be up for consideration...
The picture quality delivered by the S20 ultra exynos sucked pretty much compared to the Snapdragon version.

Samsung clearly think their buyers are morons selling certain markets inferior products för a premium.

Just the fact that the Exynos version won't even be released in Korea should tell you Samsung isn't exactly proud of it's lack lustre performance and just dumps it on markets they know will buy it anyway...

The Exynos 2200 stats were reported elsewhere as being no better in performance than a mid-range 2021 device. As my region (Europe & UK) is to be ripped off by having an inferior and more expensive device, I will pass on my Samsung Note upgrade to the S22 Ultra.

I am not content to have a substandard device for the reported £1600 (USD $2143) in the UK at a more expensive price than anywhere on the planet. So I, along with thousands of people in my marketplace will buy our next device elsewhere.
