Nex Computer has unveiled its latest accessory aimed at utilising the performance of current smartphones. The NexMonitor will be available in 2K or 4K variants, both 27-inch monitors. Each NexMonitor has numerous ports, a magnetic wireless charging stand for your smartphone and enough stand space to house a mini-PC like the Mac mini.

Huh, neat product. However it does need to be mentioned that 2560x1440 is not 2K.

I recognize this comes from the website, and from other sites that list this, but is it not on us as tech reviewers to point out and address things like this, rather than forward them at face value? This is one of the best ways to add genuine worth into these articles past a mere information aggregation standpoint.

As far as the actual product goes, I might personally prefer an external dock, but the design is interesting for sure.

Update: It's been fixed! Thanks for being on top of things Notebookcheck / writer(s)!

I do aware that there aren't many monitors out there with a USB-C port, but I can't help thinking that there are other choices out there with either a larger screen panel or a wider screen panel. I'd think of buying one if Nex Computers made a 32:9 version of this monitor. I'd love to have the ability to use a Windows/macOS/Linux mini PC and Android Desktop Mode side-by-side at the same time.

Although this is a neat package, it's kinda overpriced considering you can buy a $35 compatible usb-c dock, and pretty much reuse any old
monitor and keyboard you want.  The resolution is a plus. Definitely a few style points as well.

Update on my earlier comment: I've contacted Nex Computer twice about concerns with their branding/marketing of this product, and have received no reply nor seen any changes to their website to indicate acknowledgement of the issue. Cheers to Notebookcheck for their commitment to display information accuracy. I can't say the same for Nex Computer, though.
