It definitely looks like a kiddie toy eye sore in photos. In hand, with a more subtle monochrome keyboard lighting scheme, and the trim lights unplugged, it's not terrible,

Best Buy has 80 one-star reviews for dead or dying GPUs, overheating, etc.  The reviews certainly made me look in another direction for a new laptop.
