A new set of benchmarks have now provided the closest look yet at the performance difference between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, MediaTek Dimensity 9000, and the king of the hill, Apple's A15 Bionic. MediaTek's rise to the top continues, as it challenges Qualcomm every inch of the way.

The mediatek chip looks good, but a big question is how good their 5G modem implementation is...

Unless it affects the battery life, I seriously could not care less for 5G - and I own the second phone in the row that is 5G capable.

LOL

Mediatek will have an inferior GPU, but if priced competitively we can see many 'flagship killer' or 'budget premium' phones go with Mediatek instead of a Snapdragon.

4nm should mean good speeds and a long-lasting battery life.

Oj

Naeeh, end for the day we use the software. Most of the mtk vendons update their phone maximum 3 yeara.on the other side snapdragon soc has community development support. So going with sd soc is smarter.

Would love to see a lot of smartphones with Mediatek Dimensity 9000 chipset in the upcoming year. It looks so powerful.
