The Gigaset GS5 retains an old virtue this year — the removable battery — but adds a newer SoC, more memory, and a more promising camera setup. In return, it is more expensive and the power adapter is removed from the package.

No info about what kind of android is it? I think that only reason why I would consider buying one is if it would be clean without bloatware, or data mining telemetry (except what google already do)... yet it is not mentioned at all!

I was looking forward to try this one out but after reading the reviews on Amazon it looks like all their phones have updates serviced by Adups, a Chinese company that a few years ago was facilitating preinstalling apps that were sending a copy of all your contacts, location data and text messages to servers in China.
Sadly, made in Germany is not of much value if the software is controlled by Chinese companies :-(

Gigaset should provide all their phones with LineageOS or ArrowOS (with GApps) out of the box.
