Leaked benchmarks for the upcoming Alder Lake Core i5-12400F, uploaded on BiliBili, show Intel's budget Alder Lake part dominating the Ryzen 5 5600X across the board, while also besting the flagship Rocket Lake Core i7-11700K in gaming workloads.

Awesome ... in this price range there is no way AMD can have a 3D vcache option. I expect Intel to dominate this for full one year with this performance, power efficiency and cost

AMD 5600x is seriously overpriced. It should be $180 to be somewhat price competitive with Intel Alderlake 12600kF and 12400F.

I don't see anything about how much power it was using, can you post comparisons for that?

Geekerwan (a highly reputable Chinese tech channel) got a deep dive into the 12th gen and after watching this video, my thoughts are:

The 12th gen overclocks itself harder to match the performance of Zen 3 because of the smaller core layout and die area. Overclocking means bringing huge power consumption. That's why you sometimes see such huge power consumption numbers from other reviewers.
He also reviewed 12th gen's power & temp during gaming. The 12900K is consistently drawing less power (30W less) and resulting much lower temperature (a 10C difference). This proves that the 12th gen is actually efficient.
