Samsung has issued a statement about the Galaxy Buds Pro and evidence that the earbuds can cause ear infections for some people. The statement will be no solace for those affected, so perhaps consider other earbuds for the time being if you have sensitive ears.

The only earbuds I would buy if I ever needed one would be those from LG that had that UV cleaning case, or any earbuds with silicone tips that can be taken apart and washed.

I think it might be my imagination, but seems to me LG actually thinks stuff through before throwing a product to the market (phones aside, although their latest models did make sense in some aspects).

Just go around and compare appliances made by both LG and Samsung. You will see the LG one will usually have wise decisions regarding design and use, whereas Samsung will just throw something together for the sake of launching a product.

I contacted Samsung they did nothing. Buds pro really messed my ears up for months and still to this day all documented and all they offered me was 96$ for a pair of buds that costed me 180$. Unacceptable!

I have the same infection problem back around summer 2021.  I actually reported to CTV Canada and they helped me reach out to Samsung.  Of course, I only got a refund.

For me it's the cutouts for the sensors and charging pins the scrape my ear because the sensors are recessed and the cutout edges are sharp.

I've had zero problems with my Pro Buds, other than it took forever to find some suitable foam tips to actually make them stay in my ears. The Buds+ were much better at that. I am extremely allergic to nickel so I don't think that's the problem, relating to the charging pins anyways. I can use them all day long without issue compared to wearing something like a watch with nickel in the case/band, after one day I've got a horribly itchy rash for a week.

I have never has an ear infection till I got my bud pros . My ears consistently felt like they wear leaking then my ear became severely inflamed and started pealing inside my ear canal. I contacted Samsung about my 200$ headphones and was pretty much told to f*** off. After calling a few times they sent me a box to send them to them where they offered me a replacement set....

I have never had any ear infections until using my Samsung earbuds pro earphones.  It's horrible and nasty.  I made the correlation after googling ear infections and wireless earbuds.   Grrrrr...  Who's gonna pay for this in Canada.  Samsung ???
