The Google Pixel 6 Pro has appeared again on Geekbench as it edges ever nearer to its expected release. Its Google Tensor SoC has performed much better than its last outing, with a single-core score not far behind the Exynos 2100 and Snapdragon 888.

I've gotten to a point where phones like Galaxy S9+ or S10 and phones around those performance levels have gotten more than good enough. All I'm wanting for atm is more efficient SOCs for better battery life, better ISP for cameras, and AI for all the "smart" things that we are being introduced to and yet to be.

Yeah! Because I can't wait to give grandma a new phone so she can run geek bench scores on it all day.  :o

I would be interested to see how Tensors performs against MediaTek, Huawei and Snapdragon 700 series chips?
