Apple touts the cameras in both the vanilla and Pro variants of the latest iPhone 13 series as better than ever before, thanks to new features such as Cinematic Mode. The notorious mobile-device testing group DxOMark has now revealed its test results for both camera systems in question. Are they in agreement with the Cupertino giant?

First phone with "focus-racking"? Don't think so, the new thing for sure its that the phone does this "automatically" "for you".
It's a convenience but you'll have to trust that the software will work and will also have to tolerate the artificial blur instead of setting up the focus points yourself and actually changing the focus when you wants.

To actually have "focus-racking" it is necessary to play with depth of field, and that means creating some background blur, it isn't just about changing focus in a smartphone camera.
And you don't really need to worry too much about how it changes focus. Apple made it possible to edit the focus point in post-edit, using an Apple app.
