Apple releases products that are often hotly anticipated, and are thus usually subject to a constant flow of pre-launch leaks in an almost inevitable fashion. Now, it seems the Cupertino giant has taken issue with all these spoilers, as it has reportedly engaged legal firms to target those who generate renders to get them to desist from this activity.

ANYTHING that gives more work to lawyers should be considered with a considerable amount of suspicion.

When a company starts to think about this type of stuff, it means they're not thinking about the type of 'magic' that Steve Jobs demanded of his designers.

Is Apple becoming more and more like the other corporations?  Leaning on marketing and legal departments rather than world class design and engineering?

I dont know under what rock you have been living so far, but Apple left that "revolutionary" path a long while ago. People sure like to hype everything Apple does, but their products are far from being the best in every area where they are located.

Are you serious now? Not mocking you.
I mean, Apple is one of the most egocentric, selfish corp's out there. They don't care about anyone but themselves, no matter what they say. CSR, the rights to repair, e-waste, epic, crippled products (ipads), and so forth. And now they feel threatened by some random leakers? They're pathetic by doing this. But since the governments failed against the mega monopolies of corporations like Apple, Google etc, we'll probably see such behavior happening more often than before. Corporations going against values that we take for granted to protect their huge profits.  It's a corporate world and not a people's world anymore.
