So, why doesn't this get the aluminium heatsink treatment? Just make the fins long and it's skin-friendly. The name is certainly gamer-y and cringe enough to deserve some black-painted metal.

Albeit the considerable heat, the issue here may be cache exhaustion. Some of these devices have SLC/MLC caches with TLC/QLC storage to improve the burst speed and overall write endurance. Since TLC/QLC cannot keep up with the cache, the sustained speeds may be impacted over large transfers.
