Microsoft is yet to repurpose the Surface Studio as an external monitor, but the Huawei MateView comes close to realising that dream. The MateView has a 3:2 aspect ratio, a 28-inch panel size, a 4K native resolution and plenty of built-in ports.

Since ports are on the stand, I would assume you can't use it with an arm. That's definitely a downside. And cables coming out of the side of the stand down low won't be nice to look at either. Also, I can't tell whether the screen is matte or not. Glossy would be another downside.

That's definitely a bummer.
Also it uses usb-c for power, and can provide 65W charing to devices. It also has integrated mics, and the source mentions wifi and BT support too for some reason.

Good spot! That's a shame. Also a shame that so many displays like this are still sat at 60Hz. Even just for desktop usage, 90Hz+ capability is so much nicer!

165hz MateView GT is there for high refresh rate variant. This one is more for creative professionals, e.g. photographer and videographer who were limited on budget to look at Eizo, Flanders, and NEC's offerings. If you look at those monitors, all of those are 60 hz, because lots of them wouldn't need such high frame rate, also it would tear the color accuracy faster.
