A key supplier in Apple's mini-LED supply chain has stated that it will significantly increase its mini-LED production in preparation for "two upcoming mini-LED-backlit MacBook Pro models." This news gives legs to long-standing rumors of mini-LED 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros.

Waited for what seemed like forever for Manufacturers to support High end AMD laptops (seriously they took a really long time to wake up to the reality). Finally seems to be happening with Gaming Laptops leading the charge, however now that Apple has produced their amazing M series chips no longer waiting for AMD options, waiting for MacBook M1 options. 5nm CPU, with class leading performance, thermals, battery life and Mini-LED all together at once with the capability to translate x86 programmes with high performance? Yes please. I am hoping they have a high end option with discrete next gen AMD graphics though as an option. .

If the MacOS supports HDR video streaming and 4KUHD HDR Bluray playback better than Windows 10, that alone would be worth getting the mini-LED as a HDR content consumption device.

Wonder if we're finally getting 10-bit display on mobile, that would be a welcome surprise.

AMD graphics would still be far behind Nvidia though, especially in a thermally constrained design.
