Microsoft has upgraded the Surface Laptop to Intel Tiger Lake and newer AMD Ryzen processors. The Surface Laptop 4 retains its predecessor's design, which is to say that it is available with 13.5-inch and 15-inch displays that have 3:2 aspect ratios. Unfortunately, both sizes have their compromises.

these are so expensive for the hardware in them, it is insane

you can literally have way better hardware for the same price at EVERY other manufacturers

smh

This laptop's aesthetics haven't changed since the surface laptop 1. There is no reason to get this because there are much better options as stated by bejito.

Wow, Microsoft, just WOW!
Cheapest Ryzen 13.5" with 16GB of RAM 1199$, cheapest 15 Ryzen with the same amount of RAM 1699$.
Who do you think  you are, Apple?! Not their fanboy, but, aside from touch screens, these have nothing to pit against M1 CPU's in regards to performance VS battery life.
And youre asking 200$ for 8GB of RAM upgrade, thats pathetic, again, Apple like, but youre not Apple!
And the same battery size in 15" just like in 13.5"? Really?

Surface always make rock solid stuff but they are not most budget friendly. I guess if you don't value build quality and color accuracy you can save few bucks on Asus and Msi.

Look at this specs, battery has 47Wh, and could reach 19,5 hours of use, Macbook Pro M1 has 58Wh.... I think we have a new winner in autonomy
