Xiaomi confirms MIUI 12.5 rollout plans for over a dozen devices

Xiaomi has outlined plans to upgrade a host of devices to MIUI 12.5 by the end of next month. The rollout only applies to devices on the company's Chinese ROM though, so it may be May before Xiaomi's latest OS reaches devices globally. Others, such as the POCO F2 Pro and the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be left stranded on MIUI 12 until at least June 2021.

Even the higher end Mi Note 10 series is left out of the 12.5 update from the looks of it. Honestly, I wish they'd just officially announce the end of support for the Mi Note 10/Pro already, so I can have peace of mind, knowing I will be guaranteed to never have to see another update further cripple my device. They already removed font changing support for the USA in recent software updates, and even removed the ability to change notifications priority... What next? Disable the ability to set a custom notification tone for individual apps? Oh wait, with the latest version of Themes, that prognostication has become a reality! Way to go...

I see that the K20 (Mi 9T) is missing from the list, but I know for a fact that the beta program is in active progress, so Hiro, just be patient. The 12.5 update will come sooner or later.
