I really had a soft spot for Xiaomi,
I am a proud RedMi K20 Pro user with 8GB RAM and 256 GB internal memory, with a Mi band 3.
The thing I hate about it that made me stop using it wanted to know my location all of the time, and if I turned the location off, the Android application software would not connect to the Mi Band.
I don't know if this problem is related to Chinese ROM or global ROM's as well.I guess everything that is cheap comes at a price.
Since I am gonna nag, I have to say that the battery is not on par with other Company brands. My phone used to last 2 days of phone, music, Waze, VPN, Signal, Whats App use regularly, and Hot spot. but now after 1 year or so, it drains faster. During the nighttime, I keep the phone on Flight mode, but the battery drains 9-12 percent on average!!!

The location requirement for bluetooth devices is an issue with the security model in Android, and is not related to the mi band specifically.
