The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is making a comeback to fill NVIDIA's graphics card shortage

The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is being given a new lease of life, almost half a decade after its initial release. According to a new report, NVIDIA has already started resupplying the card to plug the gap currently left by the RTX 30 series.

Entirely true. You'll save a little power with the 1050Ti, but not a huge amount, and the 970 is usually faster.

$250 for one of these is a p***-take, too. The 970 *launched* at $329.

Horrible prices indeed. I guess with ongoing trade wars and global inflation except in China where this stuff is made, we're all looking to pay huge prices for tech during and after this pandemic.
