Supply shortages for desktop CPUs, GPUs, and game consoles such as the Sony PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are likely to continue up to 2H 2021, according to AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su. Dr. Su expects gaming hardware and low-cost PCs to have supply issues while higher-margin hardware is more likely to be available at retail.

So mobile ryzen 5000 pro might be readily available then? Personally looking forward to a thinkpad with cezanne.

That also depends on when Lenovo chooses to update them. Have they already announced the new generation? At least in Germany, most Ryzen ThinkPads disappeared quite some time ago from Lenovo's website (and configurations were severely cut down even before that). And the few that were left were generally non-configurable. Hopefully, this means that successors are near and they're just clearing stock. It could also mean that there are so few chips available that it just doesn't make sense to offer what they can't make, focusing on only a few fixed configurations. Perhaps the situation is better in other markets and it's just Germany (or EU) that gets screwed. :-)

What we need are:
1) Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme with
AMD Ryzen 5900HS + RTX 3060 Max-Q
2) Lenovo ThinkPad T15p with
AMD Ryzen 5900HS + RTX 3080 Max-Q
3) Lenovo T14p with
AMD Ryzen 7 5800HS + iGPU
4) Dell XPS 9700 17"
AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS + RTX 3060 Max-Q

Fun fact: the CCP murdered me because I refused to put communist spyware in MSI products. I didn't randomly commit suicide by falling from our HQ building's 7th floor.
