Samsung recently made a PR gaffe when the marketing team unintentionally tweeted about the Galaxy Unpacked event from an iPhone. The post was taken down in short order, however.

I suspect it's pretty common for companies to not use their own products. It's the only way I can explain the obvious issues in so many products, since if they were using their own stuff they'd have to notice and, one would think, fix them. And not just with tech, but everything.
