HP has announced a new variant of the EliteBook 840 G8, the EliteBook 840 Aero G8. The 840 Aero G8 essentially sports the same specifications as the 840 G8 but weighs half a pound less making it the world's lightest 14-inch business laptop, according to HP.

The most important features on this laptop is the firmware protection by HP Sure Start.

By the way: There is a criminal organization in Brazil using NSO Group's Pegasus to infect devices for hack for hire, to incite terrorism, blackmail people, produce illegal pornography and assist in assassinations. They also have other advanced malware, like UEFI implants and even persistent implants for Kindle and Raspberry Pi. Plus face/voice recognition on every camera and microphone they can get into, in public or private places.

Brazil won't do anything to stop them. Only the FBI, CIA and NSA can stop them.

There is also the possibility that they were engaged on the hack of Bezos' smartphone.

If you know of any security researcher who wants to reverse engineer the exploits they are using, I am more than willing to help them.

If you want a story about how they operate, I am willing to work with you to expose them.

Why do everyone ignore X1 Carbon when talking about apparently the world's lightest 14-inch business laptop? X1 Carbon is lighter than HP's rival at least since Gen 6 which was introduced more than 3 years ago. 4 years old Gen 5 with its 1.14 kg seems to be on a par with a newly introduced 840 Aero... Looks a bit strange for me... And don't tell me that Lenovo does not position Carbon as a business laptop - X1 Carbon is still a Thinkpad which in it's turn is still a top business series from Lenovo.

Seizing the opportunity: can anyone tell me what is the real difference between 840 and 840 Aero? I cannot find any information on this anywhere but it would be great to understand what has been dropped off in favor of low weight...
