Although older rumors placed its launch around 2023, unnamed executives from Taiwan claim that their companies are getting ready to ramp up the production of various components for the upcoming electric vehicle by Apple. It also seems that the Cupertino-based giant is already testing the cars in California.

LOL since when does making iphones give apple credibility to making EVs??

RC

Works only on Apple approved roads.  Windshield saver and charger sold separately.

Jokes aside, if you look at the type of company Apple is today vs 10-15 years ago, I would argue Tesla is a closer fit to the Apple of the early 2000s then Apple itself, in 2020.

Not to mention that Elon Musk is like Wozniak and Jobs rolled into one and then some.

Looks like BMW i8 to me  ;D
But I don't bother, more competition in EV, lower the prices will go 8)

The motors are glued in. Because privacy, that's why.

If a wheel fails, you have to replace the entire car...

For Apple to make itself a serious contender in the EV market it will have to come up with a car that is very unique and very Apple. Something cute and approachable like VW's New Beetle was when it first came out. I keep picturing an iCar that looks like a large Apple mouse with wheels. And, of course, it will only be available in white.
