ASRock has released a new set of mini-PCs, and ones that it claims to be the thinnest of its kind. The Mars 4000U will be available with up to the AMD Ryzen 7 4800U and will support dual-channel DDR4-3200 RAM, along with Wi-Fi 6 and multiple storage types.

Excellent concept !  We must get options in most configurations for passive cooling. I am looking for a Ryzen Mini PC With 4000 series APU passive cooled. NO moving parts, hence longer life !

Why would it be expensive? Asus PN50 is not expensive (for what it is - tiny computers are usually not the best value). Even the 4800U version which offers relatively poor value compared to the 4700U is still better value than a NUC with 10710U (the price difference between 4800 and 4700 is larger than the difference between 4700 and 4300 - nuts). And there are plenty of inexpensive laptops with Renoir-U processors. The problem is called availability. About the only PN50 you can reliably buy is the 4300U version. Even 4500U is a struggle.

Then look at Zotac. I don't think ASRock does passive cooling. And it seems unlikely there will be aftermarket options (those seem to exist only for NUC and can be quite expensive). When it comes to reliability and longevity, it's more about the quality of a fan rather than its presence in the first place. I have had tiny fans last 10+ years with little cleaning.
