With fast loading, four cameras and stereo speakers the realme 7 Pro wants to convince. All this sounds quite impressive for a 300 Euro cell phone, but can the realme 7 Pro convince in everyday life?

Hi Florian and thanks for the review.
Now I've definitely decided not to buy the phone. I have skipped Realme 6 Pro because of low display brightness. But I was hoping that  Realme 7 pro will meet company's figure of 600 cd/m2, but it looks that Realme company either have inherent problem with low screen brightness or they have very bad quality control. 500 is unfortunately nowhere close to 600 and not enough.
Thanks again,
Jake

It seems the maker has lost its way with its market strategy. I can attest that the Oneplus 7 Pro screens were rather dim as well. Maybe they've put the leftovers into these. It's rather unusual how this recent OLED phone scores even lower than some much cheaper IPS phones.

I'm not fammiliar with One plus phones but is beyond comprehension that Realme is using such low berightness, quality displays in their budget/mid range section( except X2 pro). One other review had Realme 7pro measured at 585 nits max brightnes and I have already decided to place an order and than I've read here measurement of max 500 nits..... well that was a cold shower. It seem when it comes to quality control it's a pure lottery, with Realme. No wonder Samsung is still the king.

I think the tester didn t test the brightness outdoors or under a light, as the screen has an auto boost up to 570/580 nits outdoors which is comfortable considering the price.  For all of its qualities it is an excellent phone.  People these days are too demanding and ask for the moon without taking into account the price, the price which nevertheless determines everything and concessions.  when you see the price of the high end there is something to lose your mind

This Pro version would been perfect choice for me, if it would had same battery size as Realme 7 version has, 5000mAh vs Pro 4500mAh.

Anyway, there is "eye comfort" option on screen settings, for antiflicker option.

Mr Twister

Techtablets actually also says the screen "in direct sunlight at its almost 600 nits max brightness [..] does fare a lot better in the sun versus the Realme 7". So someone is wrong about this. It's just a question of whether it's Realme, Chris, or Florian.
