GPD is working on a new handheld games console, the Win 3. Based on a 5.5-inch display and an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor, the Win 3 features a 96 EU Iris Xe Graphics G7 GPU, 16 GB of RAM and Thunderbolt 4.

Props to GPD. And look at that, 16GB RAM, which is the correct amount for this kind of device.

It really frustrates me that somehow all these ultrabook OEMs got it in their heads that 32GB is some unreasonably high amount when smartphones are coming out with the same amount.

Is that a VAIO U?

The design is definitely based on the Sony Vaio UX series and when I saw the picture my first thought was wondering whether Vaio had chosen to revive the design.  I had a Sony UX1XN which was an incredible machine for its time with an extortionately expensive 32GB SSD although the keyboard was atrocious even for the small size.

for me, the display just kills it ... if they would make a version with 7-10" FHD and smaller beazels, it would be instabuy

Why do they keep putting Intel chips in these things? I know that technically TGL has better benchmark performance than Renoir now, but only if you let it boost to levels this can't sustain... At a more reasonable 12-15W power level that this could cool without becoming a hissing furnace, Renoir would provide better real-world gaming performance.

I hope Nintendo sues the f*** out of this company

Why would they do that? It doesn't even really look like a switch, and it certainly doesn't work like one

Ray Dull

It's not a switch ripoff, so Nintendo has no grounds to stand on for any lawsuits. Sony on the other hand? This has 2007 Sony written all over it. bestbuy. com/site/sony-vaio-micro-pc-with-intel-centrino/8053456.p?skuId=8053456 You be the judge. That shipped with windows xp, later versions had vista.

It's over: Nintendo's portable market dominance is coming to an end. And no, not with these niche Chinese pocket PC's, specifically, but in a few years time, as more powerful pocket PC's enter the fray. Why? Because powerful small nm processors, that run at lower tdp, continue to be manufactured, and the logical conclusion is that a lot of these chips are going to end up in products like this. People will be able to play all the AAA PC games that will never come to a Nintendo console or smartphone on these devices, and use them as a laptop hybrid, for work/productivity on the go.
