Dell Latitude 14 5410 laptop review: Restrained by missing AMD Ryzen option

Contrary to the trend, Dell has used a somewhat thicker design for the Latitude 14 5410 business mid-range laptop, but it has included nice features like good upgradeability and a large battery in return. These are good ideas, but in the end, the manufacturer slows itself down by not offering an AMD Ryzen 4000 option. In addition, a very bad display is built in.

Geez, the difference with Ryzen 7 4750U is sure staggering! No way i will recommend any Intel based laptops from now on to friends and relatives!

Dreadful value for money at $1335 for this lump of manure, Dell are to have to try seriously harder. I'd cry if I was given this as a work laptop, I wouldn't be foolish enough to buy it for myself as there is far more bang for you buck available elsewhere and in this price bracket the screen is just horrible.

Dells have an issue (unfortunately no review is able to reveal that) starting from Win 10 2004 update, in which MS disabled usual sleep mode S3 in favor of a so called Modern StandBy. This results in a wierd issue: going to sleep ends up with 50/50 BSOD + reboot or wake up. I would not recommend a Dell nowadays, unless they manage to fix this issue. The discussion on Dell support forum starts on 2020-06-03 and it is still unresolved. For some reason the notebookcheck's forum does not allow me to paste a link to the Dell forum discussion.

Meh, I just bought one of these for $400.  :-D  I actually won't buy AMD processor laptops.  Had a bad experience years ago because it wasn't 100% Intel compatible.

You say in the article it came with a 65w USB-C charger..... Mine only came with the barrel connection on the charger... :o
