Samsung's 15.6-inch convertible offers a compact case, very good battery life, and a very bright display with a brightness of up to 600 nits. Its touchscreen display (QLED, IPS, FHD) does not only support finger but also stylus input using the included S Pen.

Unfortunately they don't sell this in the UK. Apart from the rubbish speakers its the perfect laptop.

Non-soldered RAM please, why does this keep happening -_- Can one even get 32GB ram in this??

Also wish it was Tiger Lake

Why do OEMs keep putting Comet Lake by itself and Ice Lake, which has Iris, with dGPUs? Makes no sense. Also, this look really nice, though I agree that I wish it were at least Tiger Lake, though Ryzen would be even better, but wth is with the full-sized keyboard, numpad and all, yet the still insist on using those stupid tiny arrow keys. And Samsung, seriously, you need to quit with the covered SD slots. Or at the very least, have the decency to include a tool housed in the chassis like the pen. Heck, you could even integrate it into the pen. But you're asking people to spend ~2k on this then have to carry around a paperclip-type tool and a USB dongle (one of the ports should have been USB-A). Kudos to them for what appears to be a very nice screen at least.

This is tempting, but for this price, there's too many drawbacks, albeit fairly minor ones, and I'm going to wait to see what other options come out. If it were a few hundred cheaper and/or had a better keyboard and CPU, I'd probably go for it.

Anyone have recent experience with Samsung tech support and/or warranty service? It's been awhile since I looked, but my impression is that they're among the worst of the major manufacturers. That alone gives me pause when considering a Samsung.

Are you sure it's a QLED panel? This BOE panel is not listed as such elsewhere. And isn't QLED a Samsung term? Seems it's just a standard LED backlight (and the numbers seem to confirm that)

Sadly, despite one of the reasons I was thinking a Samsung laptop might be good is because I had a very good support experience with them years ago for a tablet, from reading some reviews for this laptop on their website (and it has a generally very poor user rating, btw), it seems their support has gone downhill as well. I'm pretty sure companies all figured out long ago that if they all suck, customers will have nowhere better to go, just like with cell carriers.

I will say that despite some frustration with dealing with them recently for a microSD card that failed, they ended up replacing it without even requiring me to send in the broken one, something not all companies are willing to do IME. So while it didn't go as smoothly as I would have liked, they did resolve it satisfactorily. But that's a lot different than a computer.

Ryzen 4800U with GTX1650 Max-Q and two ram slots for the same price and I would buy this without hesitation, such a shame another one bites the dust.

The "Speakers" and "Power Consumption" sections both have identical contents. I believe this is a mistake as the "Speakers" section certainly shouldn't be going over overall device power usage.
