Although there is no image of this upcoming video card available yet, the latest rumors confirm that the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti will feature the GA104-200 processor with 4,864 CUDA cores, 8 GB of GDDR6 memory running at 14 Gbps, and a 256-bit bus. The performance should match the existing RTX 2080 Ti and the card is rumored to arrive after the RTX 3070.

Quote...since the RTX 3070 is rumored to hit the market at US$499.

I wouldn't trust any rumors that are based on announcements from NVIDIA!

But isn't it like 4K gaming? It was said to handle it from the 780... Not until 1080ti (5 genorations later) was it possible to actually game in 4K. Now it's RTX.. Will 3080 give gaming performance with rtx on?.. Maybe, maybe next generation, maybe not.
So what's the purpose of the 3060? On par with the 2080/2080ti it won't give gaming performance level rtx on.

It's on their site for $499

So the 3070 and the 3060 ti are both supposed to perform better than the 2080ti.  Will be interesting if true but I'm betting they might exceed only by a few FPS and then in only one or two games.  Either way it's going to represent an incredible bargain over the inflated costs of the 20 series.

What??

Here we go again. Notebook check just flat out making stuff up again. Yet again reinterpreting a videocardz article and putting their own spin on it.

Videocardz posts an article listing specs of the card. Notebook check decides, OK those numbers look good; makes up baseless claim that 3060ti is equivalent to 2080ti. These guys are maybe the most ridiculous site on the internet. I sincerely hope no one believes a single article posted here.

Just take a closer look at the specs. It will make sense. It is also stated that we're talking about unconfirmed information, right? We could just say that the 3060 Ti will be two times as fast as the 2080 Ti. Remember what NVIDIA was saying about the new cards? It wasn't exactly true, but in SOME SCENARIOS, it was. I am really sorry that you misunderstood the article.

That and claiming the price of the 3070 is "rumored" to be $499, when NVIDIA flat out announced it at 499.

Frankly, the German (original, with .com) site is much better.

Point taken about the 3070 pricing, my bad. Thanks for pointing that out and please don't shoot me.

3080 beat 2080ti in ray traced games, but just around 25%.This 'cause low bandwidth and sm instruction changes WITHOUT optimize cuda aswell... so, even with doubled cuda clocked at 165 mhz more, with new gen tensor and rt, 25% more bandwith, the performance are Lower then expected but still, good card. Now, a card that you call 3060ti ( 38sm ), that have not doubled cuda but around 60 % more cuda if compared to 2080 ( 46 sm ), without knowing the clocks, with same bandwidth, will easy beat 2080, as you said, clock by clock? Maybe. BUT without knowing the clocks is just an arrogant statement. The " normal " 3060 will be clocked around 1740/1755 mhz ( 3090=1695mhz---3080=1710---3070=1725 ). So, the vanilla 3060, for logic, will be either 1740/1755 mhz clock, also confirmed by leakers that had right info on other cards of this series. Now, if the 1755mhz is the clock of 3060, then 1740mhz can be for an hypotetical clock for the rumored 3050 or either the 3060ti. I would call that super, but who care about names. I think the 3060ti, to get that tdp, will have Lower clocks, if that tdp is right ( I point around 200w tdp ). BUT let's say it's clocked at 1740 mhz. 2080 had 1710 ( the not-o.c. f.e. version ) so, a card with 60% more cuda that suck, clocked at just 30 mhz more of vanilla 2080, same bandwidth, same type of gddr vram. Less rt ( 38 vs 46 ) way less tensor for dlss support ( 152 vs 368 ) will beat clock by clock the 2080? With that clock, Yes, but don't expect to beat also the 2080 super or even go near the 2080ti. It will be from t to 10% better of 2080, and I'm being optimistic. Just learn some mere base math and will be easy to understand that eill be the range of performance increase over 2080. Maybe even less expecially in ray tracing and before day anything, give a long look at 3080 detailed specs, compare to 2080ti, and you will understand how badly this cards need more bandwidth and expecially how this cuda are inefficient at this Big numbers, with this clocks. Don't just Judge a book from a cover, be smart. And give credif yo videocardz.

And stop say that can competeor even beat 2080 ti. It's a stupid nonsense full of arrogance and 0 knowledgement. Like my english. You pretend a card with 4864 cuda at a Max clock of 1740mhz ( I say 1680 or less ) with around 27% less bandwidth, with just a bit more then 50% less rt cores, will beat the 2080ti, while a card with 8704 cuda at 1710 mhz with 25% MORE bandwidth and same amount of rt cores ( Aka 3080 ) refined, optimized and called as gen 2 rt, beat the 2080ti just by 25% in ray tracing games?C'mon.
