More details about the EVGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 KINGPIN have emerged, confirming several aspects about the upcoming top-tier Ampere card. EVGA has published some RTX 3090 8K benchmark results too, and they point to the card being a performance monster.

The graph used in this article is misleading, as it's representative of the RTX 3090 founders edition, and not the kingpin.

This exact same graph is found on the Nvidia's official RTX 3090 page.

There's going to be an artificially controlled shortage of high performance (hand picked dies) reference cards at launch, to drive hype and scarcity. The result will be that the immediate rush of AIB partner cards will be snapped up in whatever formats they come. Doing AIO instead of a full block is cheaper and easier for EVGA, plus it allows them to have more control over quality assurance, directly from the factory. In other words, people will still buy them like this, so why go the full block route?
