Lenovo has teased the Yoga Pro 13s Carbon, a circa 990g ultrabook that is expected to feature Intel's latest Tiger Lake processors. The device also has a 13.3-inch display with a native resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Underpinning the package is a 50 Wh battery.

But will it throttle like mad like my Yoga 910 does? It throttles down to about 800MHZ, while the dual fans slows down, then it pops back up to 2.something and the fans ramp up, and then it slams down again rinse repeat. It's just how the fan tables are designed! In earlier BIOS versions the fans would be able to run at a higher RPM but people complained of the noise so with the newest BIOS, it is capped and furthermore the fans drop RPM WHEN the CPU throttles!

I'd assume the new Yoga's are programmed more intelligently but the thermals are NOT good enough!!!
