Hands-on images of the PS5 DualSense controller have been published online, purportedly from the FCC. The images show the DualSense from all angles in its two-tone colour scheme and also offer a look at an unannounced black version. Sony has confirmed that the PS5 DualSense controllers will receive dedicated software updates too, a change from how the company currently delivers updates for the DualShock 4.

Wow, that black controller could have looked okay, but instead they... gave it translucent white buttons? Why? What has gotten into Sony's design team recently? Have they all been replaced by 12-year-olds?

The black one looks like a mockup. Notice the handgrip are different. It's probably a base model intended for customisation.

Not sure what you mean - they look identical to me. The matte black finish makes it look contoured differently to the shiny white one, but that's just a trick of the light reflecting off the finish. Also, these look like classic certification agency photos, in which case the product certified needs to be (as near as possible) the one that will ship.
