The hissing or static issue with the latest Pixel Buds remains, despite the release of a firmware update that supposedly addressed the problem. In fact, the hissing issue is noticeable even on units released after Google claimed to have fixed it.

What hissing sound? I bought it when it was launched in the UK. There is no hissing sound 🤷🏻‍♂️

No hissing sound, really happy with audio.
But
The left earbud stopped working after 1 week & are being replaced at no charge which is excellent service!

Same, audio sounds fantastic!

My girlfriend can't hear a hissing sound but I can. I'm no audiophile but I definitely hear better than most, and it's... awful. Low volume listening, quiet tracks, pauses between songs are all plagued by this noise, primarily on the right earbud.

Yep. The damn hissing is why I returned mine after just one day. I'm convinced it's due to inadequate internal components shielding. It's a huge deal breaker for me as I rarely ever blast my music. Once heard it can not be unheard. Great article 👍
