The Latitude 7310 is all about the core office experience with no distracting auxiliary features or options. However, a brighter screen and some faster graphics wouldn't hurt, either.

Dell is making such horrible mistakes with Latitude lately. Aside from the common thermal issues, there's the soldered stuff, horrible keyboard layout and lack of dedicated touchpad mouse buttons. I can't believe they still have the nerve to charge the same as always, seeing that they are giving you less than last year's model.

And that's even without investigating all QA issues that are happening, too.

1 non-standard USB type-C is more than enough !!!

Almost no one uses this non-standard USB type-C format with fragile connectors !!! Personally I don't want it on my machines !!!

I'm sad that they dropped the physical mouse keys and the TrackPoint. 7300 was interesting, but this model is no longer an option for me because of that.

How does the Latitude 7310 hold up when compared to the XPS 13 9300?

In addition to the points made previously, I'd say the lack of a dedicated power connector is also problematic: Plug in a USB mouse and you're left with only one free USB port. After careful consideration I went with the far more versatile and practical 5310. It comes with a larger battery too.

I would never consider the purchase of laptop without usb-c nowadays, when docking stations, especially in the business segment goes more and more popular over time. USB-C with DP over them is nice, but this laptop has more, a Thunderbolt signal send over it, so high-resolution monitors can be connected easily with it. A second USB-a slot would be nice, but I don't think it's necessary, Bluetooth mice are much better for mobile use. Some laptops lack USB-a port at all.
