A price prediction from a noted gaming analyst for the Microsoft Xbox Series X next-gen console could seriously upset the cart for Sony and its PlayStation 5 if it ends up being accurate. While many have guessed at a price of US$500-US$600 for the Xbox Series X, this could be drastically lower if Microsoft decides to undercut the PS5.

Lower price but smaller number of units? Can somebody explain, this doesn't make sense to me. Business makes price lower to sell more units. If you're not going to sell more, why lower price? Might as well make it higher, since some amount of people will not care and buy even if it's $100 more than XBox.

So, Xbox fucked up the latest presentation and completely lost their "more teraflops than PS5" momentum and now pushing marketing bs in consumer's throats. Typical Microsoft.

It wasn't actually a f*** up, more like something they had planned for the Series X, Microsoft knows they can't beat the Playstation in terms of product, but the future belongs to them and they know it, they have a vast array of resources which they can use to build and promote the Xbox for the future, chances are they can beat the PS5 too, cause they have an exclusive partnership with AMD for the Zen 2 CPU the Xbox Series X currently gears, Sony doesn't have that, even though it is a custom built CPU for the PS5 it isn't exclusive, we're yet to see any real time gameplay from both the consoles, but technically Xbox has the upperhand at the moment
