Huawei Mate 10 Pro, P20 Pro snubbed in EMUI 10.1 update roadmap

Huawei released the Mate 10 Pro in late 2017 and the P20 Pro about two years ago. The phones have received two major updates—although the EMUI 10 rollout is still ongoing—and while one would expect them to also get the EMUI 10.1 update, seeing as it's based on Android 10, Huawei seems to think otherwise.

This is why I will never buy Huawei again. Those bastards have treated me like s***. I have been pushed around about faults, updates and customer service. And now I still wait for emui 10. Now they don't even give me 10.1 ? f*** you Huawei!

Disgraceful move by Huawei💩, I jumped ship from Samsung which I've used for years, I'm due an upgrade next month, my P20 Pro is brilliant and is worthy of the upgrade, looks like I'll be returning back to Samsung👍🏻

I haven't had a security update on mate 10 pro since Sept last year

Now I know it's a couple of years old but it is a very competent phone that should last a year or two more providing it's secure.

I was about to bite the bullet and get a p30 pro but given their track record  I ended up buying a pixel 3xl, superceded I know but will get updates for longer than the p30 will

Still waiting on 10 never mind 10.1, keep checking but stuck on 9. Upgrade is due in 4 weeks. Doubt if I'll stick with them is only getting one Android release in 2 years.

Why go for a new phone with no American apps or Google services, when you can have a P20 Pro with 10.1...or in my case stuck on 9 with s*** 9.xxx incremental updates every farts end. Everyone is talking about Google services etc but I see the devices have issues with Netflix and others too.

Already 6 years with Huawei from business to privat but now I've decided that's my last Huawei, cause present phone is not so old P20 pro but there is no updates like they promise. Guarantee is till 04/2021 and then I will go back to LG and Samsung. All together 18 mobile phones for employees and privat. No more Huawei cause you lied and stay there in Asia. You don't deserve my money and trust anymore. Without Google Maps and new updates, you are useless.

After Nexus6p debacle and now, p20Pro not getting serious updates... And bootloader unlock has been removed from their policy....
I am wondering less and less why people go to Apple for their mobiles. Even if they have another set of serious issues, software updates and long term support is a lot better there
Especially when you consider Android flagship models. Better service is expected at that price point.
This is true for all major Androïd phone maker s BTW, not only Huawey :-(
Guess next one will be by a less greedy manufacturer like Xiaomi. They make cheap phones with good specs and at least you don't get disappointed.

I own a mate 10 pro and I follow android news regularly. I honestly can't understand what people are looking for. I was not even sure what kind of android version I'm running right now. The names of the versions I can't recall since years... The outrage about not getting an update is ridiculous. When my phone went from 8 to 9 I haven't noticed anything different. I'm not even sure what is new in android 10 and I read multiple android related websites every day.
