The latest SSD from Buffalo is tiny, with dimensions akin to a USB stick and a weight of just 15 g. The fast USB Type-C SSD is robust too and is the perfect choice for those who prefer to travel light.

And this is different from a high speed flash drive how? Other than needing an extra cable.

Generally the whole point of external ssds have been larger capacity. (or getting the internal ssd at a discount sometimes)

Flash drives are extremely unreliable and have really low endurance compared to SSDs. SSDs are also way, way faster, especially with large writes.

@George Abraham - They use the same flash memory, both reads and writes are pretty same. The thing limiting them would be USB which would be the same for an external SSD as well.

Endurance would also be similar.

Sure, if you buy low end flash drives you would get junk, but high end ones are no different than SSDs really.

The fact they include an type C adapter does not make it a type C drive. It is micro B.
Please correct the title, it is misleading.

If only it attached directly like a USB flash drive, then its compactness would have been actually useful. A dangling cable? No thanks I already got Samsung T5 and T7.
