Asus ZenBook 14 UM431DA laptop review: Also makes a good impression with Ryzen

Is this the same as UM433DA?  I can't see any difference from looking at the specs/pics.

They're similar models for a popular market segment.  Look for small differences like microSD vs SD, USB bandwidth, Bluetooth version, bezel thickness.  (Speculation: maybe Asus put the general specs up, received two (ODM?) designs that they liked equally, and brought both of them to market to spread the risk in case one of them has a problem.)

I have a UM431DA-053 with Ryzen 5 3500u. I fixed the obvious cooling problem of this nb by applying Thermal Pads to the cpu cooler and heatpipe so it makes contact with the back cover.
By that i could drop the cpu temp by 10° Celcius on idle. In Cinebench R15 it delivers 680 on start and drops down only to 580.
More tweaking is possible with ryzenadj/ryzen controller by tuning TDP, STAPM limits and so on.

Hey, i recently bought the R7 16gb model, the performance was slightly better than your benchmarks on Cinebench r15 and i thought that was because the 16gb was dual channel, but then i realized that was not the case, so i dont know from where did the difference come.

Now, I've replaced the stock thermal paste by Noctua's and the new scores are around the same as the Lenovo ThinkPad E595-20NF0000GE (your own tests), so i think that the issue its not the cooler design, and the cheap paste is at fault.

I will provide the benchmark results in a couple of hours.

What thickness of the thermal pad did you choose? Are 1.5mm sufficient for this notebook?

I have UM431DA with Ryzen 5 3500U for six month now.. My biggest complain is the case is not rigid enough. You can hear the bottom chassis and palm rest flexing when you lift/push it. This is really bother me since cheaper VivoBook doesn't have this issue. Anyone experience the same issue?
