AMD's Ryzen 7 4800HS APU has been spotted on the Time Spy benchmark, where it performed remarkably well judging on the reported score. Surprisingly, the chip with a 35 W TDP managed to overtake the 45 W Ryzen 7 4800H, which will undoubtedly delight future gaming-laptop buyers. Once again, Intel's Core i7-9700K desktop CPU had to play catch up.

one question. where the heck laptops are? what is so difficult in telling people more or less accurate dates?

Yes but I also want Thunderbolt 3 in my gaming laptop and video encoding on GPU which is ultra fast yet superb quality like NVEnc. :)) AMD needs to offer a total package.

intel package is weaker anyway.

My question is when intels 10th gen laptop is already available. Why amd laptops are not available. Even U versions are not available. Even with fabrication problem intel laptops released. Whereas amd doesn't have fab problem with 7nm. Are OEMs purposely delaying it or their is a problem with the amd laptops.

They launched at different dates. Ryzen 4000 launched in Jan 2020, Ice Lake launched in August 2019 (with Intel detailing the architecture in December 2018 to distract from yet another 10nm delay).

Luckily, the 4800HS is only offered by ASUS, and we know they are launching a decent amount of laptops with Nvidia dGPUs and AMD CPUs (the golden combo is being revived from the mid-late 2000s  :) ).

That being said, with a lack of faster Ethernet solutions on laptops, I am also tied to TB3 at the moment.

Vendors may need to clear their Intel inventory before releasing their AMD laptops. Otherwise, they will kill their own product line.

It baffles me that every single article covering this leak can't be bothered to compare the leaked scores vs Intel's mobile CPU offerings and instead compares them with desktop results.

Namely, two mobile CPUs from Intel come to mind in the 35/45W range: the 8-core 16-threads i9-8880H and i9-9980HK. They score an average of 8109 and 8586 points respectively in Time Spy physics.

There, you are welcome.

PS: To add insult to injury, this very website mentions performance comparisons with said mobile CPUs in their respective CPU pages,
