The Galaxy S8 and Note 8 may now be two generations old, but they are still mighty powerful smartphones. Although they have started life on Android Nougat too, both can now be upgraded to Android 10. The Exynos 8895 and Snapdragon 835 should be well-suited for running Google's latest OS, too.

Heading says can now be uupgraded to Android 10 and then next sentence says unlikely to ever be able to do that. Ummm...clickbait much???

I wish I could have my note 10 plus downgrade to android 8......I HATE the android 9 or 10......so many great fitures on the android 8 were taken out and the new phone operating system is so not user friendly........if I didnt hate Apple phones more than I hate the android 9/10.....I would've transformed to iPhone long time ago......

Clickbait title?!?! Never expected that from this site... Boy you seem to have gone down...

Hello I have a Samsung J7 which has been upgraded to include the Os system. But what is going on with all these phones and carriers and operating systems? What phone should we buy that is best one that we won't have issues with but it will be updated for all these operating Os Ui things you are talking about and also the new higher 5.0 ? What really is best normally it's the older phones with the older operating systems with the older features. Also do they offer any good deals out there with any carrier as they keep raising the prices thinking that we are millionaires.. Thankyou, Sincerely,  Dawn Munson.

S8/S8+ owners shouldn't get too excited.  The update is not on the official Samsung Road Map.  So far its just a rumor and not fact.  I think more wishful thinking.

Will not buy any sansung phone ever more unless they send out android 10 for the s8 modells. Not that it would cross my mind to buy apple stuff, will not happen ever, "rather use smoke signals".
I got 9 year old computer with intel i7, microsoft has no problem upgrading the siftware of this old computer, I cant understand why they cant support thise very expensive phones for more than 2 years, smells shitt. We should not axept this.

Samsung should release android 10 for S8+. it is also premium phone and we spent huge amount on it and we still like phone so what is the issue with Samsung.

If my Note 8 is not updated officially by Samsung, it will the the last Samsung phone I ever bought.

I dont know why Samsung wont go n upgrade the galaxy s8, s8 plus, and note 8..... I was very confident to pull out my old apple devices and upgrade them to the latest iOS windows allow you to run their os with no problem as long as your hardware meets the requirement but Samsung wont do nothing but push devices but yet have a company in their origin that does better but banned in US I really love the note series but this is disappointing and now on certain devices does not have a SD card slot no thanks but I love this phone I refuse to solely use iOS but right now they got yall beat

Note 8 and s8, s8 plus should upgrade up to android 11. These three flagship smartphone are powerful and many people have spent huge money for those devices.
Google pixel 2 XL- running android 11
Galaxy note 8, s8 - running android 9
What a mess!!
Now I don't want to use samsung brand!!
