Huawei Y9 (2019) owners up in arms after Android 10 snub

Huawei has confirmed that the Huawei Y9 (2019) will not receive the Android 10-based EMUI 10 update, and owners of the phone are, well, unhappy about that decision. Rightfully so, too, as the Honor 8X, another mid-range phone, was released around the same time and will be getting the update.

It is the budget flagship, has bigger battery than Honor 8X model and so should get Android 10 since Honor 8X got it. This is nothing but screwing its users to make them get newer phone quickly.

I'm on a y7 2019 and haven't even had the pie update! Still on 8.2 and feeling really annoyed that a phone made in 2019 isn't going be included for the latest version of android wff huawei  >:(

Yes the forgot the y series but they are not even remembering that the have the y prime series like my y9 prime 2019 with a pop up camera like they dont support the phone for its pop up camera and beautiful full notchlles display

I expected android 10 update for P20 lite. Nova3e was costlier than Y9 in that time and is more powerful.

Xiaomi seems to be somewhat better than Huawei regarding SW updates.

Huawei makes a lot of devices. You can't honestly expect them to go out of their way to keep updating the budget devices. If you really wanted the newest OS all the time you'd buy the better devices to begin with.
