ASUS ROG is bringing a Ryzen 5 4600HS version of the Zephyrus G14 to market, the company has confirmed. The hexacore Renoir chip will come with up to 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, an RTX 2060 Max-Q GPU and a 1 TB PCIe SSD. ASUS ROG will offer 120 Hz and 1080p or 60 Hz and 1440p panels with the device, too.

no thanks, too expensive. 1660TI for $1700? No. Asus what were you thinking
A) You could wait for a version without the AniMe matrix display.
B) Its 1083GBP without Vat (~1420usd)
C) RAM is single channel, but there is in additional SO-DIMM slot.
Imo the pricing ain't too bad. It really doesn't have much competition in it's class.

I thought the aniME is gonna come later this March?
I was gonna buy this but for $1500 and RTX 2060 not 1660ti

I took a looked at it and converted it but then the other person took out the VAT (I had to google what the heck was that) so if that's true then $1400 for the starter G14 would be a semi-okay price. $1300 without the aniME!

Looking at it through the website, it looks like it'll be the following specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS
1660 TI
16GB RAM
512 SSD

With that notion, my guess for the higher version would be as follows:
AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS
RTX 2060
16GB/32GB RAM (+$50)
512gb/1TB SSD (+$75)

$1600 with the aniME screen or $1500 without the aniME.

This is all speculation, they may put the price higher for the US.

The pricing seems to fit with December leaks on e-shop called lambda-tek.
There were 3 SKUS:. GA401IV, GA401IU and GA401II.
Asus (Asus US) website states that GA401IV has 2060 max Q and GA401IU has a 1660ti Max Q, so it can be assumed that GA401II will either have 1650ti/1650 max P (Spec sheet in ASUS germany/uk).

GA401IV with Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM, 1TB ssd, 2060 max Q was listed at 1600eur (1904eur with VAT)
GA401IU with Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM, 512GB ssd, 1660ti was listed at 1400 eur (1680 eur with VAT)
GA401II with Ryzen 5, 8GB RAM, 512GB ssd and 1650ti/1650(?) was listed at 1101 eur (1321 eur with VAT)

The SKUS were leaked without additional info so price difference between the SKUS could also be affected by their screen choice of 1080p60hz, 1080p120hz or qhd60hz. The other factor is the AniMe display.

has no sense put GPU like an expensive 2060 when you get a Good APU for playing in 1080p med settings.

The link to the pre-order for Jan 31 has been taken down.

It only worked a few hours ago.

I wonder if it's ready for a 1/31 launch

I asked them if the preorder date is accurate or an estimate. This was their reply.

"The date is accurate as provided by ASUS, but it is a new part so could be delayed.

As soon as stock lands the pre-order button will change to in-stock,

yeah but whats the point in apu gaming when adding a 100$ discrete will double(!) your fps. apu gaming is for 300usd devices.
