The QLED panel will provide OLED-like colors at a fraction of the price. Samsung is hoping that its aluminum-clad convertible will kick-start a generation of QLED laptops and tablets to better compete against the IPS and OLED laptops already in market.

QLED is not a matrix type.
IPS or TN or VA can all be QLED.
