50 carriers in 27 different locations had set up 5G networks by October 2019, whereas over 300 others in about 109 additional markets may be preparing to do so. This is in accordance with some of the latest research on 5G deployment, which is found in a new whitepaper by OPPO and IHS Markit.

Who cares I not living in dangerous city center. Who pays for it? In countryside 3G works only to the window.

Consumers, of course. A few key points to consider regarding whether your carrier together with equipment manufacturers is trying to con you out of your money:
1. Do you really need the extra speed, provided their coverage is adequate?
2. Is their 5G speed unachievable with 4G?
3. Are they building 5G by cannibalizing current 2G/4G bands and hiking prices(the latter is almost universally true though)?
