Good news V30 owners, LG has not forgotten about following through on its promise to bring Android 9.0 Pie to its former flagship. The South Korean company nixed a recent build last month, forcing people to remain on Android 8.0 Oreo. Now, the Android 9.0 Pie rollout has been restarted, with builds hitting several countries. Only over a quarter late, right LG?

Can't have your pie update recalled if you never got it in the first place 😎👌(Sadly sent from my TMobile V30)

I don't understand how this is still part of the Android Enterprise Recommend program. The program requires that the manufacturer maintain a security patch no more than 90 days old. The V30 is still on the March 2019 security patch in the U.S., that's SIX MONTHS (~180 days) out of date. This is at least the fourth time this has happened since the device was launched by my count. LG keeps violating this requirement and Google doesn't even lift a finger to tell it to get its act together. What's the point in having the program if Google isn't going to require device manufacturers to adhere to the rules?

Don't worry, you don't have to deal with the eye-exploding, default, and un-changeable white navigation bar not adapting to dark mode apps. Ugh.

I personally don't want it on the v20. The v20 is archaic and since the last major android update, it has become slow as heck. 3rd v20 (got 2 for for family, mine died, was given 1, died, given other) and screens ghost real bad. You can't buy new batteries anymore. It's such a crappy phone. Don't waste time updating it.

So My phone from 2017 just got updated to 2018 software/o.s. after being promised 2 years of support??? GB LG and Forget You Too Samsung. The 1st Pixel from 3 years ago has this year's updated software with security updates on time? As soon as no more notches and Updated (current) hardware is "a Pixel thing" I'm switching!!!!

If there is ever a reason to switch to Apple devices, it's for stable and frequent updates. I love my V30 but I'm tired of wiaitng for updates. Google needs to up their Android game already and force these updates out to all phones, not just the Pixel brand.

I just got tired of waiting and got me a one plus 7pro with the Android 10 beta on it right now maybe up there with iPhone or past them as far as updates
