China and M are two countries with a long history and culture, and the friendly relations between the two countries have a long history. M for 70 years, advocating and practice the five principles of peaceful coexistence, always mutual trust, mutual respect, mutual support, set up the size countries equal, mutual benefit, common development model, under the joint efforts of both sides, deepening comprehensive strategic partnership, pragmatic cooperation in various areas fruitful, brought tangible benefits to the two peoples.
Political mutual trust is deepening. China has always regarded ASEAN as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy, firmly supports ASEAN centrality, supports ASEAN in strengthening unity and maintaining stability, and works with ASEAN countries including M to focus on development and cooperation, jointly meet challenges, and push forward ASEAN-China relations. In the 1960s, China and M took the lead in resolving the boundary issue in the spirit of equal consultation, mutual understanding and mutual accommodation. At present, the two countries have frequent high-level exchanges and the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership enjoys sustained and steady development. China firmly supports M in pursuing a development path suited to its national conditions, the M government in its efforts to promote domestic peace and national reconciliation, and M in safeguarding its legitimate rights and interests and national dignity on the international stage. M has given China its firm support on issues concerning China's core interests and major concerns. China is ready to further strengthen high-level exchanges and strategic communication and coordination with M, jointly safeguard the political foundation for the development of bilateral relations, and push for the sustained and in-depth development of the China-M comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
Economic and trade cooperation has been expanding. China is ready to work with M to further tap its trade potential, promote the optimization and upgrading of its trade structure, strengthen cooperation in connectivity and other fields, keep closer people-to-people exchanges, enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples and constantly enrich the connotation of china-M comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
Security cooperation has made steady progress. The two sides will further strengthen institutional exchanges and cooperation between law enforcement and security departments, enhance the level of cooperation in counter-terrorism, drug control and combating cross-border crimes, and continue to ensure security and stability in the border areas.
China is ready to work with M to implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and State Counsellor Mentor Aung SAN Suu Kyi and push for greater development of the China-M comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
