Another Swift flyweight has come up for testing and will have to prove that it requires a lot fewer compromises than its predecessor did. Will the new Intel Core i5-1035G1 finally offer the appropriate performance instead of extreme throttling? Find out in our review.

kinda nice but.. i dont understand one thing. what is wrong with ice lake? ipc is much better, why no visible benefit in performance, why sustained load on such low frequencies?
it all look like renoir will crush all the segments, even new tiger lake reminds me of what amd did when they was behind-low core count+bigger gpu.
is intel a real outsider from now?

Where is the 15 inch version review of the Swift 5?  14 inch is so close to 13.3 inch, you might as well just stick with the smaller size and save a bit of weight and money.

It's a shame for Acer for such a price to install  the DDR4 2666 brake memory instead of the LPDDR4 3733 or at least DDR4 3200 supported by the processor. Another mess ...

3200 dd4 is faster than lpddr4 3733 i think. speed vs power consumption.

Nice review, very impressive specs for the price. Does anyone know if the thunderbolt is 2x or 4x lane?

I too am interested in this for eGPU use. Can't seem to find that info anywhere.

Disapointed

Don't buy this model.  I bought it because of the Nvdia mx250 for playing game. However, as long as I playing paladin with nvdia mx250, the laptop became overheat and the game become lagging.  I have to fall back to use the built-in Intel video chip for gaming.  To make the matter worst, the Nvdia250 also not able to do a good job in video editing (compare to my 3yr older laptop and nvidia chipset).  Very disappointed.
