Let the games begin. Asus sent us one of the first 15-inch notebooks with the extremely fast Pascal GPU GeForce GTX 1070. The informed reader expects big performance gains and is not disappointed. The manufacturer focuses on continuity for the other aspects of the system, which is usually the correct decision.

I don't think anyone will use this laptop without battery to play games anyway. So, to me, battery life isn't matter at all. I've been using this product for almost 4 months. I love it. And, personally, I don't call this as a laptop. It's a beast. :)

@Lidia:
Same laptops I think, just different names for regional distribution and identification. Just like Asus Zenbook UX360UA and UX360UAK that are also the same.

Can you tell me the difference between GL502VS and GL502VSK?

So I purchased one last weekend from Microcenter in the US. They have a sale on this for $1399 USD for the 1070, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, which is a steal.
Some differences from this review - 1. The chassis doesn't creak and it's not flexible, they must have dealt with that early as it's solid.
2. Playing Witcher 3 at ultra with hair turned on and the laptop sitting on my lap got warm but not crazy hot. The fans also didn't over power the speakers so I enjoyed the game.
4. I updated the BIOS to .300 and I believe it fixes the small battery drainage issue that people have when running the machine with a demanding application.  I checked the battery after I played Witcher 3 and it was still showing 100% when plugged in.
5. There is some light bleed around the screen but not severe (not mentioned in the article).
6.Also there was a TON of bloatware (Winzip, useless programs) and this article didn't mention it. I had to spend about an hour removing and rebooting to clean up the mess - I tested a Razer Blade 2016 1060 and it came with absolutely no bloatware, which is refreshing.
Finally,  two things bothered me ergonomically: 1. when sitting in front of the couch, my wrists hit the edge of the laptop deck (the Blade and my Macbook Pro are not as thick) and it's irritating.
2. My left wrist covers the left speaker grill (orange), and it made a difference in sound quality. I had to reposition my hands not to do that. They could have moved them a little closer to the keys to prevent this. Finally, I recommend the laptop because of how much power and features come in the package for the price. It would be great for the $1600 but if you find one on sale, buy it. You won't regret it and in a year or two, when games come out and you can still play them with all settings turned on or hook the beast to a 4K monitor and play with all settings turned on - You will appreciate the value.

Hi! Please answer my questions:
-is the battery removable?
-is the chassis done with nanoimprinting lithography?
-does it have any carbon fiber components?
-does it say on the box that it contains perclorate?
Thanj you very much!

@Daniel
It's PCIe. Shame there's no review of GL502VM or Clevo P650RP6.

This looks like a fantastic laptop and I will buy it. The only thing bothering me is, is the M.2 SSD slot only rated at SATA 3 or is it PCIe? If it's only SATA 3 speed max, I'm pretty disappointed because that truly limits a lot of the laptop's performance. I can't find the answer on any site...

So the review says 32gb ram yet every single one on sale is only showing 16gb. Being that I plan to be on the road a lot, I wanted a good gaming laptop that was fairly lightweight but plenty of ram.

Hi,
since GTX10XX are famous for latency problems....
Could you confirm if with newer Nvidia drivers this laptop has its DPC Latency issues fixed?
