What should be expected from the FHD panel? Does it have the same contrast level?

Gosh how the Core M and Intel actually royally suck.. this chip's overall raw performance falls bellow the likes of Apple's A8X and Qualcomm Snapdragon 810..
Just check the multi platform raw benchmarks Geekbench and 3D mark.

Utterly embarrassing and unacceptable for a chip built on such superior process and with such asking price!

f*** you! You don't know s*** about processors! Core M is identical to i3-3217 in terms of performance; how do you compare it with Apple A8X?!?

God! Too many idiots live in this world...

TL:DR: the touchpad is rubbish, don't buy this laptop

I had a chance to try this laptop out at a local shop before buying it. The touchpad is seriously flawed - I'm not sure if it's the hardware, the BIOS or the drivers, but it ruins the whole user experience. The mouse pointer lags behind the touchpad, that is, you move your finger, the mouse pointer waits for a short time, decides to move, starts moving slowly, then accelerates, then slows down again. It is very frustrating.

There were other laptops that I could test and none of them had similar issues - except for other Asus laptops. I tried changing the mouse speed, acceleration, turning off "enhance pointer precision", but if anything, it got even worse.

It was so bad in fact that I couldn't scroll a web page in IE without "stuttering" while scrolling (and they call that "smooth" scroll - it was everything but).

This could have been a laptop with an excellent price/performance ratio (and with a matte IPS screen - which was great btw), but this touchpad issue is just unacceptable. Shame on you, Asus!

Do you have any plans to review the new Zenbook UX303LA or UX303LN Broadwell update?

Slimline. How much flatter does it get? The Core M is at its best, with 12 millimeters in an airless case. The performance lags behind the Haswell competitors, and the Zenbook inspires no wonder in terms of battery life. Still, input devices, workmanship, emissions, and (last but not least) the price argue in favor of purchase.
