Bulldozer is just the generic term: The Piledriver cores (as found in Trinity) are the 2nd gen, Steamroller will be the 3rd gen Bulldozer and so on. Maybe this could have been a bit more carefully worded in the article. ;)

I realise it's a bit anal but the a10 apus are built around a cut down version of piledriver, not bulldozer.

Having read Dominic Watson's comments, I'm going to be very careful about buying HP.

It's about time manufacturers realised that negative comments about their products COST THEM SALES.   Getting a top rate reputation may cost money, but it guarantees future business.

I must say that you should do your best to stay away from anything HP produces... I've got a HP dv8 and it has issues with the touchbar at the top. WiFi flickers on/off/on/off as well as volume. It seems the issue was due to the wires not properly being shielded from static charge which interferes with that bar. MANY people have had these issues and HP won't even talk to you unless you've bought some sort of support package. Do you really want to pay for a laptop that was thrown out of the door without testing of something like this, and a company who won't talk to their customers who have spent £1k on a laptop?

Price-performance hit? Quad-core processor. Crossfire graphics. 8 GB RAM. 1000 GB hard drive. For just 550 Euros (~$715)? HP promises a lot of performance for little money with the Pavilion g6-2253sg – we reveal the weak points of the bargain notebook.
