The only downsides I've found is that the Alps GlidePoint touchpad works with only very basic functions (no scroll, no multitouch, mandatory tap to click) under GNU/Linux (Debian 7 Stable) and it requires a proprietary firmware for the wireless connection to work. With GNU/Linux I would give it a 7/10, and remember use a real mouse.

Graphics quality is not the best. I had acer aspire 5315 previously which more than 10 years old and it has much better and clear graphics that this new fujitsu a512.
